During the opening of the 2012 New York International Auto Show BMW unveiled the face lifted X1 2013.The 2013 BMW X1 sold here is in fact the x Drive35i. It has a 6-cylinder inline engine with an output of 225 kW / 306 hp. The BMW X1 face lift will also be available as the s Drive28i and the all-wheel-drive xDrive28i, both having an output of 180 kW/245 hp and a 4-cylinder engine.

The rest of the world will only get the 2013 BMW X1 xDrive28i. In terms of exterior design, the changes in comparison to the previous version of the BMW X1 are negligible. many updates are visible at the 2013 X1's interior. The face lifted X1 comes with various styling changes, better finished controls and more pleasant materials. BMW says that the 2013 X1 is able to offer a more premium ambiance, which frankly, it was a bit lacking in the old version.
